The Canyons is located in Park City, Utah, home to many events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Located just 4 miles from historic Main Street, The Canyons is the closest Park City ski resort to the Salt Lake City International airport yet close enough to enjoy all the nightlife, dining and shopping that the town of Park City has to offer.

NEW IN 2006-07: New lift "DreamCatcher" accesses an additional 200 acres of pristine gladed tree runs and natural trails near the "DreamScape" lift. The "Tombstone" lift has been upgraded to a high-speed "6-pack" (6 passenger detachable lift) for fastest access to the southern half of the resort. Upgraded and expanded Red Pine Lodge for enhanced on-mountain dining and refreshment.

At The Canyons, you will find 3,700 acres of fabulous, diverse terrain spread across 8 beautiful mountains. Visiting Utah's largest resort means that you can easily ski or board all day without seeing the same trail twice: there are 146 trails including numerous gladed and bowl areas, natural halfpipes, and other big-mountain diversions to keep you busy having outrageous fun. Experts will crave endless runs off '9990' (the highest summit here, serving all black diamond and double-black terrain), and will find numerous tree runs, chutes, and steep faces from many of the lifts. Intermediate and advanced skiers/boarders will love the vast and varied terrain all over the resort. Beginners will enjoy the High Meadows lift dedicated to 'green' terrain and the opportunity to enjoy beginner runs high up on the mountain, above the high-speed Gondola. Finally, the Canyons' award-winning Terrain Park has been elevated to new heights. Literally. The Snow Canyon Terrain Park, sponsored by SOBE, brings the halfpipe, rails, multiple hits and new sound system to a higher elevation (1600' higher than last year) for better natural snow conditions and more extensive snowmaking.

DreamCatcher:
This season, The Canyons introduces the DreamCatcher lift -- This all-new quad opens an additional 200+ acres of pristine glades / natural trails and increased our skiable terrain to 3,700 acres.

Tombstone Express:
To increase our lift capacity on the busiest days, we've upgraded the Tombstone Express to a high-speed 6-pack. This means less time on the lift and more time experiencing the Greatest Snow on Earth®.

Family Winter Fest:
This season, The Canyons has partnered with Nickelodeon™ and will be hosting two Family Winter Fests on January 1-6, 2007 and March 19-23, 2007. These will include a full line-up of family events, music and character appearances sure to please any kid.

The Cabriolet:
We added 10 more cars on the Cabriolet to get you from the parking lot to the mountain in record time.

They feature some of the finest instructors and programs in the world for skiers and snowboarders of every age and ability.

The Canyons began operations in 1968 as Park City West. Purchased by the American Skiing Company in 1997, The Canyons has since undergone major development and is now the largest ski resort in the Park City area. The century-old mining town of Park City will capture you-as it did the rest of the world during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
